We made a reservation during our week long trip to NY. The greeter downstairs clearly didn’t want to be there - very unenthusiastic! When we got upstairs we were told to wait to be seated - again by an unenthusiastic member of staff that lacked any kind of customer service skills. When we asked how long the wait was (even though we had reservations) she simply shrugged her shoulders and said she didn’t know. It was only by overhearing another waiting customer that they were running over an hour and a half behind on their reservations due to an overrunning function. This seems like something the greeter could have told us when we asked! We decided to cancel our reservation and reschedule for a few days later. Whilst we were unfortunately greeted by the same staff in the same poor manor the second time around, at least we were able to be seated at the time booked. It was in fact our waiter Phillip that transformed this from a 1 star to a 4 star review (5 for Phillip - 1 due to the previous dissatisfaction). Phillip provided the very best service I have ever received in any of my visits to NY. Yes the restaurant is beautiful. Yes the pork shoulder was amazing. But Phillips service is what really made this a meal to remember. Professional, polite, attentive. Serra - give that man a pay rise!

Lovely spot! Make sure you make reservations a week in advance because this is a hot spot for summer and for the grams. I recommend a weekday because weekends service is a little rushed. The wine selection is perfect if you’re looking for authentic and rich Italian wine. I haven’t found anything closer to true Italian wine in New York. The food was incredible and rich in flavor. I recommend the burrata as a appetizer. I was very impressed with the service from Allison. They definitely influenced my experience at Serra by Birreria. This is a romantic spot! Don’t leave without taking pictures!

It is an open space, so the weather is the weather. It was hot when I went. Beautiful space. As a beer explorer, the selection did not live up to my expectations, but there were some cool beers. Service was friendly, but overwhelmed and slow. Another bartender would have doubled their sales for the day

After reading some of the reviews here I was a little concerned about our dinner reservations at Serra however as things turn out, our food was excellent. Wife and I both had the pork shoulder and it was delicious. I am still thinking about it. Venue is beautiful and the Eataly market below is beyond awesome. Nothing complained about here happened. Drinks came out in reasonable time etc. Just relax and enjoy dinner without being in a hurry.

Great food great environment. Waiters are friendly and attentive. Beautiful with all the flowers all over. Being on top of Eataly you get to do some food shopping for some nice Italian delicacies after. Must must try place highly recommended!!!!
